Anita Jean “Jeannie” Martin, age 83, of Eminence, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, in Louisville. She was born July 5, 1933 in Lockport, and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Frances Aldridge Martin. She had worked at the Brunswick Corporation in Eminence.
She is survived by three sons: Ronnie Kidwell (Bonnie) of Eminence, Donnie Kidwell (Debbie) of Pleasureville, and Larry Kidwell of Louisville; a daughter-in-law: Cheryl Kidwell of Eminence; two sisters: Marie Downey of Defoe and Mary L. Clouse of Hamilton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Kidwell, Jr.; a son: Robert Kidwell; a brother: Robert Martin; two sisters: Anna Raisor and Liza Downey; and two grandchildren: Roney Kidwell and Marilyn Ann Kidwell.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church, will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, and from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Cowan Walker, Noah Walker, Austin Cole, Brayden Cole, and Dillon Downey. Active pallbearers are Charles Jennings, Merle Downey, Robert Kidwell, Jr., Christopher Walker, Christopher Cole, and Thomas Downey.
