David S. (D.S.) Smith

David S. (D.S.) Smith, age 88 of Eminence, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. He was born October 10, 1926 in Eminence, and was the son of the late Norvin and Edna Smith. He was a retired milk hauler for Sealtest Dairy and had worked in lawn care at the Oldham and Henry County golf courses. He is survived by his wife: Norma Adler Smith of Eminence; one sister: Lorena Petitt (Jim) of Eminence; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Tommy Lanham, pastor of New Castle Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Eminence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015 and after 10 a.m. the day of the service.
