Rosa Moore Lyons

Rosa Moore Lyons, age 85, of New Castle, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Providence Nursing Home of New Castle. She was born in Lockport and was the daughter of the late Pete and Mary Adams Moore. She was a farmer and homemaker and a member of Lockport Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters: Catherine Stivers of New Castle and Sylvia Stivers of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lewis Lyons; six brothers: Albert Moore, Raymond Moore, Obie Moore, Cecil Moore, Charlie Moore and Sylvian Moore; and two sisters: Beatrice Arnold and Lilian Marbach.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Bro. Fred Snider will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.
