Anna Margaret Lyons

Anna Margaret (Downey) Lyons, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed at her residence on January 27, 2024. She was born on October 27, 1935, to her loving parents, Tom and Bertha (McQuire) Downey.

Anna lived a fulfilling life dedicated to her family and their well-being. As a devoted wife and mother, she poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and loving home for her children. Anna's caring nature and selflessness were evident in every aspect of her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Samuel M. Lyons; her two daughters, Linda Lyons and Edith R. Lyons, along with three sons: Larry Lyons, Jerry Lyons, and Rex Allen Lyons. Anna was the cherished sister of Mary Tingle, Edith Kelley, Claude Downey and Floyd Downey who also preceded her in death.

In addition to her immediate family, Anna will be deeply missed by her surviving loved ones. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her two sons: Randall Lee Lyons (Janice) of Bethlehem, KY, and Jerre Marwedell Lyons of Bethlehem, KY. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Furthermore, Anna leaves behind eight great-grandchildren as well as one great-great-grandchild.

During Anna's remarkable journey through life, she touched the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor brightened countless lives throughout the years. Anna's unwavering love for her family was evident in everything she did.

To honor and remember Anna Margret Lyons, a visitation will be held at the Sholar-Riley Funeral Home in Pleasureville on January 31, 2024. The visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM on January 31, 2024. It will be a time of reflection and tribute, as loved ones come together to celebrate Anna's beautiful life.

Anna Margret Lyons will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
