Barbara Mae Tingle, age 72, of Eminence, died Monday, April 15, 2019 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville. She was born October 14, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Robert and Ettie Mae Stidham Broshears. She had retired from the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women where she started as a correctional officer and later moved to the position of medical administration. She was a faithful member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband: David Tingle of Eminence; two sons: Jack Riddle (Melissa) of Louisville, and Greg Riddle of Pleasureville; one daughter: Katherine Tingle of Shelbyville; one brother: Donnie Ray (Ping) of California; one sister: Brenda Baker (Harrison) of Crothersville, Indiana; six grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Pleasureville United Methodist Church, 5651 Castle Highway, Pleasureville, KY 40057. Brother Jesse Landers, Jr., pastor of Pleasureville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation will be at the church from 5p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019 and from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the day of the services.
