Benny Sue Yeary True, age 87 of Pleasureville died Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born on August 27, 1934 to the late Bennie Uriah Yeary and Sally Kate Ayers Yeary. She was a homemaker, a member of Shelby Christian Church and graduated from Pleasureville high school as a member of the class of 1954. She was also a member of the Merrie Melodious Dulcimer Group for 17 years.
Benny Sue is survived by one son: Terry Lynn True (Beverly) of Pleasureville; two daughters: Tammy Luttrell (Joe) of Willisburg and Kathy Truax (Tony) of Pleasureville; three sisters: Reba Hance (Dunnie) of Lockport, Mabel Leah Mackin of Pleasureville and Merma Loy Blair of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; five grandchildren: Andrea Hattenberger (Lucas), Jessica Tapp (Jason), Charles Luttrell (Emily), Travis True and Sam True; and eight great-grandchildren: Austyn, Charley, Anya, Eliza, June, Levi, Caleb and Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Everett Lee True, whom she married in 1956; three brothers: Clawde Edward Yeary, Bobby Ray Yeary and Shelby Kay Yeary; and one sister: Shirley Jean McKinney.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Bro. Dave Hamlin will officiate. Burial will be at Defoe Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday.
Active pallbearers will be Travis True, Sam True, Charles Luttrell, Jason Tapp, Shawn Estes and Ralph Hance.
