Cecil Tingle

Cecil Tingle, born on June 12, 1936, in Shelby County, Kentucky, departed this life on January 3, 2025, in Jefferson County, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy of hard work. Known for his friendly demeanor, Cecil cherished his role as the owner of Tingle's Shell Station in Eminence, Kentucky, where he served the community with pride and commitment for many years before retiring.

Cecil was a beloved father and a proud family man. He is survived by his daughters, Diane Tingle of Bethlehem, Kentucky, and Beth Masterson of Hanover, Indiana. His sons, Brad Tingle of Malvern, Arkansas, and Bruce (Trisha) Tingle of Pleasureville, Kentucky, carry forward his legacy alongside his sister, Nancy Tingle of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and his brother, Jodey Tingle of Frankfort, Kentucky. Cecil was a devoted grandfather to 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy G. and Sarah Elizabeth Vest Tingle, his beloved wife, Brenda Vest Tingle, and his siblings: sisters Frances Stamper, Gertrude Bailey, Lula Stratton, and Margie Wilson, as well as brothers James and Gene Tingle.

The visitation for Cecil Tingle will be held on January 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home, located at 5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, Kentucky. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
