Charles Henry Thomas, age 84 of Sebring, Florida, and formerly of Pleasureville, died Thursday, June 11, 2015. He was born in Pleasureville and was the son of the late Estel and Mary Evelena Curtwright Thomas. He was the former owner of Thomas Funeral Home in Pleasureville, a funeral director for sixty-two years, a Korean War veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of Pleasureville Masonic Lodge # 410 where he belonged for more than sixty years and was a Past Master. He belonged to the First Christian Church in Sebring, Florida and was a former member of Pleasureville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Thomas of Sebring, Florida; one niece: Kim Moody (Wyatt) of Pleasureville; and one nephew: William Maddox (Betsy) of Smithfield. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Carl Leslie Rucker will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Masonic Services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the donor's favorite church or charity. Honorary pallbearers are Don McGowan, Bob Bevars, Lowell Watson, Elton Heaton, Bill Pollard, and George Watson.
