David Wayne Crouch, age 80, known for his dedication and hard work at Capital Paving Company, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2024, at Baptist Health La Grange, La Grange, Kentucky. He was born on September 15, 1943, in Irvine, Estill County, Kentucky to the late Garnie Crouch and Lizzie (Henry) Crouch.
David was a loving husband to Carolyn Lorene (Washburn) Crouch and a devoted father to his children; Susan A. (Clinton) Sutherland of Bedford, KY, Lonnie Wayne Crouch of Pendleton, KY, and Gregory Crouch of Campbellsburg, KY. He was a cherished brother survived by Rosie Dixon of New Castle, KY and Donald Crouch of Centerfield, KY. David took pride in his role as a grandfather to 10 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 18 great-grandchildren.
In his professional career at Capital Paving Company and even after retirement, David left a lasting impact on those around him with his strong work ethic and integrity.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Charlene Crouch, Betty Jean Miller, Margie Winehart, Wilburn Crouch, T.J. Crouch, and Baskum Crouch. Their memory will be honored alongside the joyful moments that David shared with all who knew him.
Services to celebrate David's life will be held at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home in Pleasureville, Kentucky. A visitation will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on June 6th followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Smith, Billy Smith, Gregory Crouch, Jaclyn Bach, Carol Ann Crouch, A. J. Dixon, Tyler Crouch, Marcus Clark, Bradley Samples, Aaron Samples, Nick Samples, Clayton Sutherland and Cheyenne Crouch.
David Wayne Crouch's legacy of love and hard work will continue to inspire all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
