David Wayne Doss

April 21, 1956 — November 15, 2014

David Wayne Doss, age 58 of Lockport died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born in Frankfort and was the son of the late James and Angela Doss. He was a tree trimmer and mechanic. He is survived by two sons: Christopher Doss (Leslie) and Cory Doss, all of Lockport; two daughters: Misti Doss (James Goodrich) and Heather Baxter (Dustin), all of Gratz; one brother: James Doss (Carolyn) of Lockport; four sisters: Shelby Smith (Danny) of Campbellsburg, Helen Doss (Adam Carter) of Lockport, Barbie Denning (Leonard Johnson) of Carrollton and Anita Clark (Charlie) of Campbellsburg; six grandchildren: Nathan Goodrich, Destiny Goodrich, Leigha Baxter, Layne Baxter, Brooklyn Doss and Nicholas Doss; and best friend, Joe Clark. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Doss. Funeral services are scheduled 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Gratz Baptist Church with Paul Briscoe, Dale Atkins and Rex Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Doss Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Honorary pallbearers include Joe Clark, Charlie Clark, Nathan Goodrich, James Goodrich and Dustin Baxter. Active pallbearers include Eddie Clark, Joey Clark, Harold (Brother) Aldridge, Adam Clark, Steven Denning and John Denning. Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville is in charge of arrangements.
