Dinah Gail Downey

Dinah Gail Downey, age 66 of Cropper died February 4, 2021 Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born February 1, 1955 to the late Robert Everett Downey and Clara Dale Downey. She was a factory worker for 42 years, and had retired from MSC. She was member of Cropper Baptist Church.

Dinah is survived by one sister: Mickie Lynn Brent (Larry) of Eminence; one aunt: Ida Beverly of Bethlehem; two uncles: Frank Dale of Eminence and Leonard Dale, Jr. (Anna Bell) of Frankfort; one cousin: Sandy Downey of Shelbyville; nephew: Michael Brent (Christy) of Jericho; several additional nieces and nephews; and close friend: Janet Jones (Gil) of Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by her uncle Clayton Dale and friend, Kyland Smither.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Brother Jeff Price will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2021, and from 12 p.m. until time of services on Monday. Burial will be in Eminence Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gil Jones, Rob Cocke, Aidan Woods, Michael Brent, Darrell Aldridge, Brian Aldridge, Scott Dale and Tony Aldridge.
