Leslie Ann Meers

Leslie Ann Meers, age 43, went to be with her Lord to join her Granny, Granany and Pat Pat on July 7, 2024 in Smithfield, KY. She was born in Frankfort, Franklin County, KY on August 7, 1980 the daughter of Paula Lynn Chisolm Adams and Randall “Randy” L. Meers. She previously attended Union Grove Baptist Church in her youth. Leslie combated many challenges throughout her life but did not let anything deter her from smiling and enjoying life with her family and friends. Although she never spoke a word, everyone in her presence always felt loved with her smiles, laughter and her eye glances. Leslie’s prize possession was her float which she loved folding and was never without it. She also loved to mix, chop, cook and hang out in the kitchen and sample her recipes in the process. The Muppets, the Price Is Right and many cooking shows were among her favorite things as well as her love of riding in cars, especially on the back roads and dodging squirrels.

Left to mourn her passing are her mother and step-father; Paula Lynn (Chisolm) and Bill Adams of Smithfield, KY and her father and step-mother; Randy and Patty Meers of Pleasureville, KY, her brother; Brian Lee Meers of Louisville, KY, a step-sister; Vanessa Burchfield of Waddy, KY, three step-brothers; Jeff Adams of La Grange, KY, Matt Adams of Smithfield, KY and Brendon Riddell of Louisville, KY, her paternal grandfather; Richard Meers of Shelbyville, KY. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; J.W. and Phyllis Chisolm and her paternal grandmother; Wanda Meers. 

Fueral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Kimes officiating. Visitation will be the same day from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Defoe Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to the: First Baptist Church – New Castle in care of the funeral home.
