Pamela Kaye Grigsby Bramblett, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on May 22, 1953, in Shelbyville, KY, to James E. Grigsby and Margaret F. Grigsby (nee Perry).
Pamela had a fulfilling career and made significant contributions during her time with the Kentucky Department of Natural Resources. After retiring from the Department in 2003, she continued working at the Apple Patch in Crestwood, KY as a patient care giver. Pamela's dedication and passion shone through in her work.
Apart from her professional achievements, Pamela had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought her joy throughout her life. She loved shopping for jewelry and shoes. Additionally, she had a deep appreciation for antiques.
Pamela's memory will forever be treasured by those who loved her dearly. She leaves behind many cherished family members and friends who will fondly remember the love she shared. Her daughter Shanda D. Payton (James) of Pleasureville, KY held a special place in Pamela's heart. She was also blessed with the presence of a loving sister Teresa Banta (Mac) of Pleasureville, KY along with three caring brothers: Bobby Grigsby (Doris) of Pleasureville, KY; Gary Grigsby (Betty) of Shelbyville, KY; and Ronnie Grigsby (Charlotte) of Pleasureville,KY, and special companion Howard Roberts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bramblett and her parents.
Pamela found immense joy in being a grandmother to her two grandchildren Kelsey Hancock (Tommy) and Lyndsey Mayes (Austin), both residing in Pleasureville, KY. Furthermore, she was thrilled to welcome four great-grandchildren into her life, Wesley Hancock, Savanna Hancock, Elizabeth Hancock, and Wyatt Mayes. Their laughter and happiness always brought a smile to Pamela's face.
To honor Pamela's life, visitation services will be held at the Pleasureville Baptist Church located at 2749 Hill Spring Road in Pleasureville, KY. The first visitation will take place on February 13, 2024, starting at 4:00 PM and continuing until 7:00 PM. The second visitation will occur on February 14, 2024, with the receiving of family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM and concluding at 11:00 AM.
A funeral service to celebrate Pamela's life will be held at the Pleasureville Baptist Church on February 14, 2024. The service will commence at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Richard Downing officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
Pamela lived a remarkable and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many people. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her memory will continue to inspire us all to embrace life's blessings and cherish the moments we have with our loved ones.
