Patsy Lou Lyons, passed away on September 18, 2024 at the age of 70 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky. She was born on December 5, 1953, in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Kenneth B. Lyons and Dorothy Mae (Winters) McGowan.
Patsy was a proud graduate of Henry County High School, where her passion for learning and commitment to excellence began. She dedicated her professional life to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, serving in the capacity of an Accountant. Her career was marked by integrity and a steadfast work ethic, attributes that earned her the respect of her colleagues and the community.
Patsy is survived by two loving sisters: Doris Perry of Lockport, KY and Darlene Baxter of Bethlehem, KY, two loving half-sisters; Marty Jackson of Eminence, KY, and Jeannie Lyons of Shelbyville, KY. Additionally, she is survived by her half-brother, David Lyons of Perry Park, KY, as well as a special aunt, Shirley Servi of Shelbyville, KY. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews, who held her in high regard, and a special friend, Barb Sutherland of Frankfort, KY.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Max Lyons. Patsy’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and devotion to family, and she leaves behind fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation for Patsy Lou Lyons will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, both at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home located at 5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, KY 40057. Burial will be in the Wallace Cemetery in Lockport, KY. The family invites all who knew Patsy to join in celebrating her life and sharing in the fond memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
