Ronald Wayne Yeary

Ronald Wayne Yeary, 82, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away on August 6, 2024, at Frankfort Trails Nursing Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. He was born on May 23, 1942, in Ewing, Virginia to the late Homer Morgan Yeary and Hazel (Coombs) Yeary. He was a master logger who was self-employed. Wayne led a fulfilling life filled with love for gardening, canning, karaoke, and wood crafting. His dedication to his work as a master logger was admirable and inspiring to those who knew him.

Wayne is survived by his dear daughter, Julie M. (William) Sanford of Pleasureville, KY and his brother Rev. Hayward Yeary of Pleasureville, KY. In addition, Wayne leaves behind a legacy through his three grandchildren: Sarah (J.C.) Lyons, Hannah Sanford, and Michael Sanford. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren: Noah Lyons and Ellah Lyons and his wonderful neighbors on Hawkeegan Drive.

Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife; Linda F. Yeary, three sisters: Coffalee Yeary, Pauline Garber, Lorene Butts; and four brothers: Junior Yeary, James Yeary, Paul Yeary and Ralph "Mickey" Yeary.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Wayne will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home in Pleasureville, Kentucky with Rev. Hayward Yeary and Rev. Joey Woods officiating. Burial will be in the New Castle Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Spies, Keith Yeary, Albert Loman, Boston Loman, Corey Wardrup and Ron Wardrup.

Wayne will be remembered not only for his hard work as a master logger but also for the kindness and love he shared and his wonderful sense of humor, with all those around him. May he rest in peace knowing that his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
