Shelby K. Yeary

Shelby K. Yeary, age 66, of Pleasureville, met his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Pleasureville and was the son of the late Bennie and Sally Ayers Yeary. He was a member of Lockport Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. Because of his faith and love for the Lord, he witnessed through his music to many churches, nursing homes, jails and friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Lena Hance Yeary of Pleasureville; one son: Ben Yeary of Pleasureville; one daughter: Denise Miskell (Robby) of Pleasureville; three grandchildren: D.J. Ray, Blake Yeary and Shelby Ray, all of Pleasureville; four sisters: Bennie Sue True of Pleasureville, Reba Hance of Lockport, Leah Mabel Mackin of Pleasureville, and Merma Blair of Ohio; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Don Ray; brother: Bobby Yeary; and sister: Shirley McKinney. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Paul Briscoe delivered the message. Charles LeCompte and Glenn Hance delivered the eulogy. Special music provided by Glenn Hance, Scotty Campbell, and Mike Sudduth. Interment was in Defoe Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at sholarfuneralhome.com.
