Teresa Lynn Rucker

Teresa Lynn Rucker, age 60 of Defoe, died Monday, November 30, 2020, at her residence. She was born in Carrollton on June 8, 1960, and was the daughter of the late Henry Franklin McCane and Rebecca May Aldridge McCane. She had worked at several factories including Brunswick, Eminence Speaker, and Noble Metal Processing. She most recently worked at Campbellsburg Grocery. She was a member of Pleasureville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Dawn Heitzman.

She is survived by her husband: William Jeffery Rucker of Defoe; one daughter: Tiffany Lynn Harris (Shane) of Shelbyville; two brothers: Harvey McCane (Dolly) and Mickey McCane; three sisters: Willa Lou Shadburn (John), Linda Ruth Mahoney (Dave) and Joy McClain; one grandchild: Rebecca Harris; and Mother-in Law: Betty Rucker.

Per Covid-19 guidelines, visitation and services will be private. Rev. Jerry Anderson, former pastor of Pleasureville Baptist Church will officiate. Private burial will be at Defoe Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Lucas McCane, Les Richardson, Dennis Martin, Travis Shadburn, Joe Wilson and Josh Collins.

Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville is in charge of arrangements.
